I'm going to guess th...</title><content type='html'>Two beautiful images Brian!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m going to guess that the second one is HDR.  The second shot has a slight softness in the details that that I sometimes get with my own HDR processing.  I also perceive a little more shadow detail in the bottom shot as well. I did shoot this with the 70-200 2.8 at...</title><content type='html'>Hey Todd-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did shoot this with the 70-200 2.8 at 120mm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The ISO was 200 and the exposure was 1/250th at f 3.3.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That was what created the blur but there is another step that adds a little bit too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I sharpen the image for output I always do it on a duplicate layer. Then I apply a layer mask and paint with black the areas that I want to be not quite as sharp. Both the ring light and your treatment bring out character in the image which I think describes Alec&amp;#39;s presence in a room very well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember your setup for that, and now thinking of it, it&amp;#39;s interesting how it works. The ring light has two effects: it really enhances the edges in a face (very evident) and it creates a halo of the person in the background. That halo is something that folks love or hate. Your fill removes the halo, which I think works great.
