It's All Memories Now...

2007-10-16

This image was shot south of Grant Village in Yellowstone National Park. The female elk wondered off while the bull was dealing with some other bulls moving into his territory.

He looked around for a bit until he found her in shallow waters near the edge of Yellowstone Lake. I think he is saying "Honey, please come back!"

It is bittersweet to finally be home. I love the fact that I am once again back with my wife daughter and dog who I missed so much. But I really miss the west. I have already started to lay the groundwork for future trips, hopefully sooner than later.

For those of you who have been there you can understand the power that these magical places can have over you and your life. For those of you who have not the only way to truly understand is to go there and experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Sounds like a great trip. Love the pictures. I went to Colorado for the first time in 1989, 2 months after my wedding. Otherwise I'd still be there.
