This image of the New York New York Casino in Las Vegas was shot from my room at the MGM Grand at dawn.

I had anticipated some interesting color for a morning shot the previous evening so I set the alarm for any early wake up.

I shot several images from my limited vantage point and this was my favorite.

I think this week is going to be about the southwest so where better to start than Las Vegas where most of my south west trips begin.
