Diversions...
"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."
- Lao Tzu
I came across this saying this weekend and it stuck with me. For the last two weeks life has been in overdrive. So this afternoon I thought that a few moments outside with nature would be the perfect ending two a long and busy weekend.
I spent about 2 hours outside in my yard photographing the flowers that remain in full bloom. I wanted to shoot them only with the Lensbaby in a slow and relaxed way.
It was nice to take the time and look at all of these flowers in a soft and unfocused manner. Unlike the schedule of my life the colors of these flowers and their environment slowly blended from one to the other in patterns that moved as they wanted to on their own course and in their own rhythms.
After shooting I processed the images and then spent some time painting them in photoshop. It was fun and it was relaxing and best of all it was never on my list of things to do...
