Feeling Their Energy...
Nikon D2x ISO 100 1/400th @ f8
This May I traveled throughout the southwest. One stop that was mandatory was Taos and more specifically Rancho De Taos and the San Fransisco De Asis Mission Church.
For me visiting this famous church is a very spiritual experience but not just for the obvious reasons. To stand in the same place that Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keeffe once stood can fuel your soul.
It is cool to take it all in and to try and imagine what it was like when they stood there. What it was like on that day. What was going on around there. What was there a breeze, was it hot, who was with them? What were they talking about?
Maybe I have to much time on my hands but I love to imagine what it was like back then and what it would have been like to have been there with them.
*UPDATE* I worked up today's image while I was at work last night. So I was using my MAC laptop. When I got home today and looked at the image on my home PC I hated the way it looked. I tried correcting the color a bit and couldn't come up with something I thought looked good so here is a new version in B&W which I like much better.
Some day I am going to get this color profiling thing under control. But for right now it continues to suck the life out of me...lol
