I'm Glad you like the image.

I love the rodeo. I have been attending the Choteau 4th of July Rodeo since I was a little kid. I think I have only missed 3 in about 30 years.

I have a lot of family ties to ranching and the old west and the rodeo is one of the few remaining great American West traditions.

Each year we get up and watch the Fourth of July parade then go to my aunts house for a picnic and then onto the rodeo.

When you get there it’s so cool because you see generations of families together at what you know has been a family tradition forever.

The town band entertains the crowd with patriotic songs as you find your seat and the announcer talks about what it is to be an American as a lone horse and rider circle the arena with the American Flag. It is so quiet that you can hear the flag ripple in the wind.

Then the local minister says a prayer, everyone sings the National Anthem and then its Rodeo time!!!

After the Rodeo it’s more food and then cap it all off with some great fireworks.

I really can't explain how proud it can make one feel to be from this great country when you participate in a Choteau, Montana Fourth of July!
