A little late today because of my work schedule...

Today's image was shot in May of last year while visiting Mesa Verde National Park.

This is such a great park because of its beautiful location in southern Colorado as well as the high concentration of preserved cliff dwellings.

It is a bit remote for many travelers but if you are going to be touring the southwest you should definitely put this on your list of places to stop. I can be visited in a day if necessary but to really do it justice you should be in the park for at least two days.

Mesa Verde is located between Durango and Cortez, Co. It is only about 10 miles from Cortez which is a good sized town with lots of places to stay and eat.
