#523 Morning at Swiftcurrent Lake

2009-08-06

Hi everyone-

Today's image was shot on a beautiful July morning at Swiftcurrent lake in Glacier National Park.

In any direction that you looked there was an awesome sunrise image to be had. It wasn't terribly breezy, which is good for ay sunrise in Glacier.

This image was created by merging 12 hand held vertical shots in Photoshop. Then I played around with the color and bringing out some of the details. When printed the image will be 2 feet ish by just under 6 feet. Now to find a good wall...lol

Yes, really beautiful shot Brian. I know Photoshop has improved merging images, but I'm sure you still had to do some detail work -- nice job!

Don't know why Brian, but the majesty here is mixed with a great humor of some sort so that I'm left smiling... which is a very good thing. Thanks... I needed that. BTW... we should talk, I've got an invitation to discuss with you.

Really great panoramic. I found with those that you have to know how to take the individuals to make them stitch right ... and the more you take in a row, the more difficult it is to keep the sky hue consistent. But I like your idea of working with lighting in photoshop afterwards. I'll have to try that. Great job.
