The Real Objector...

2008-05-07

Hey everyone-

This image is the last from the Rally For The Troops for a while. I got to Savannah today and will be posting images from here over the next few days.

While I do not always agree with people about everything, being American gives everyone the right to speak or in this case sing their peace.

While I support this guys right to oppose the war, I feel bad for the families of the troops who were at this rally and who had to walk by this him. This was not a pro war rally. It was simply to support the troops who had no choice but to be sent to war.

He was not loud, he only sang his song, he didn't engage anyone, but his message was clear. Unfortunately, it was being delivered to the wrong crowd.

As in this image everyone just passed by not giving a second glance...

Let him go to Iraq and sing his crap over there then, we will even outfit him for free and give him a free plane ride. All he has to do is put on a uniform.

Great photo.. I think we will all agree that no matter our personal feelings about this war, the brave men and women, and their families need all the support that we as AMERICANS can give them.. It is nice to see that he was alone in his stance.. thanks for sharing

I think this is a powerful image and speaks for many often times even people who are serving have family that want this war to end and I am sure that was the spirit from this song singer. I think we can all support people there while not agreeing with the war or the reasons behind it.
